Shearer Drum Transport Frame

Fabrication and certification of frame.

This frame is designed to:
* AS4100 - 1998: Steel Structures
* AS1170.1 - 2002: Structural Design Actions Part 1 Permanent, imposed, and other actions
* NTC Load Restraint Guide 2018

Structural Design Notes
1. The frame (figure 1) has been designed to hold single longwall shearer drum, weighting up to 4500kg.
2. The frame Working Load Limit (WLL) is 4950kg.
3. The tare weight of the frame is 420kg.
4. The drum is restraint to the frame using a minimum of 2 x 8mm transport grade chains with load binder and steel blocking plates at the base. Rubber mat is also placed at the base provide additional frictional restraint against movement.
5. The frame is restraint to the truck tray using a minimum of 2 x 8mm transport grade chains with load binder. Rubber load mats shall be used under the frame.
6. The frame is design with a dual sets of forklift pockets.
7. All primary structural members are in accordance to AS 3679-300 and AS1163-350.
8. All welds are in accordance with AS1554.1 SP
